Listing parts, products & components

Use this option if you don't have a website or if your website does not give detailed information about your products.

If you have a range of very similar products eg. same product in a range of sizes, please use the same form to enter them as a range of products. This will save you time, but a customer looking for that type of product will still be able to find you easily.

Finding The Right Page - First, look through the categories until you find the page you would like your product to be added to. If there is more than one suitable page, don't worry, just enter the part once. There are automatic links in the database to make it appear that your part is in all the relevant sections. Once you have found the right page, click on the button on the bottom of the page, marked Add a part.

Select Your Company - If you have already entered you company information, please select your company from the list. If not, click the Add a company button next to the list.

Your Part Number - Enter your part number into the box provided, if you are entering a range of parts, please either enter the range number (if you have one), or a part number from one of the parts in the range. We may modify your part number eg. lengthen or shorten according to our needs.

Your Part Name - Enter your part name into the box provided. This is the only information which the user will see, unless they ask for more detail on the part. With this in mind, the name should be clear and descriptive eg.Aerial support for car radio's rather than Mobile electrical support.

Part Description - Enter a brief but detailed description of the part including a physical description eg. crate with wire handles, major dimensions eg. 50cm length, 30cm width, 20cm height, and most importantly usage eg.stacking bread basket. The description should include everything a buyer would want to know eg. is it suitable for any other uses, are samoles available etc., however it should be concise - buyers don't tend to read more than 4 or 5 sentences.

Keywords - A users search, will search all the words in the part name, description, keywords and usage. The user cannot see any words entered into the keyword box. Enter plurals of important words used in the part name, description and usage. Also include any words which could be related to the part, or it's usage. At a later stage, the number of keywords you can enter may be limited. At present, we recommend you enter between 10 and 20 words. Please don't enter unrelated or unspecific words or "plastic". The database relies heavily on the keywords entered and anyone found abusing the system will be banned from the database.

Can The Part Be Used As A Promotional Item - Can it be printed, is it suitable as a giveaway or a promotional item eg. ruler

Is The Tooling For Sale - This can be used for previous versions of parts.

Do You Sell From Stock - Is it common practise to sell from stock?

Minimum Order From Stock - Enter either a quantity or a price.

Minimum Order For Custom Manufacture - Enter either a quantity or a price eg. for a diffent material, colour or a non-stocked item.

Normally Stocked Colours - Only enter if you sell parts from stock.

Material Normally Used And Stocked - Select the appropriate material from the list of options. If there is not a suitable option, please e-mail us. If you stock the part two materials, please select the appropriate second material from the second list.

Manufacturing Process - Select the appropriate proccess from the list. If there is not a suitable option, please e-mail us.

Related Part Numbers - If you are entering any other parts which are designed to fit this part eg. a lid for a bottle please enter their part numbers, separated by commas. This will enter a link direct from this part page to the appropriate related part page.
